The August meeting at Jeff and Fay Neu's was last Thursday.  Yes, that
was the first Thursday of the month.  Seems some of you must have
forgotten that.  Only a few of us showed up.  But we had a good time
anyhow!  Who wants a make up meeting?

There were cheese, sausage, and crackers.  Dip and veggies were also
there for the rabbits.  Plenty of beer of course too.  A bit of mead and
some wine for varieties sake.  Without Steve, Betty, or George, the
conversation was mellow and without any extra adult content.  That just
proves they are the real trouble makers in the club!   We did have some
stories about people who killed them selves in creative and interesting
ways.

Jeff's place is really nice.  I guess he just built it last year.  Very
rural setting to say the least.  I began to wonder if we would ever get
there.  I guess he had a fire pit ready to go outside, but it was a bit
on the warm side to sit out.  We just stayed in the air conditioned
house and socialized.

Since none of the officers were there, we did not hold any official
business.  I guess this month we will just not get anything done as a
club.  Then again, why should this month be different from any others!

Hope to see you all next month at Dan and Lisa's (& Sue too?).  Just
don't turn south when you should go north.
